Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying (Pressure/Vacuum) System Practical Training
Attendees will experience practical training on pneumatic conveying in this course, specifically specializing in dilute phase (pressure/vacuum) pneumatic conveying systems. The course focuses on the design of pneumatic conveying systems, common pneumatic conveying problems and discusses solutions to these problems. Attendees will participate in the actual design of dilute phase pneumatic conveying system following step-by-step procedure, followed by a full-scale test laboratory practical session of dilute phase in pressure and vacuum systems.
Employees who attend this course will improve their ability to design, maintain, and improve pneumatic conveying systems, understand advantages and disadvantages of the various types of systems, evaluate vendor options, and optimize the performance of existing systems.
By attending the course, participants will be able to:
- Design a pneumatic conveying system and select equipment on their own
- Troubleshoot pneumatic conveying problems on their own
- Understand the material properties related to pneumatic conveying
- Understand pneumatic conveying for pressure and vacuum systems related to their industry applications
Those responsible for designing, improving, or troubleshooting pneumatic conveying systems, such as engineers, operators, managers, technicians and R&D scientists and engineers are encouraged to attend. Continuing education units (CEUs) are awarded for full completion of the professional development course. Participants must be present for the entire schedule, or make arrangements prior to course start date with Professional Education and Outreach, in order to be eligible to be awarded the CEUs.

A discounted registration rate of $750 is offered to current graduate and post doctoral students.
