Current Course Offerings
October 18-19, 2017 • Salina, Kansas
Register by September 20 for early bird rate!
Focusing on the applications of discrete element method (DEM) simulations in bulk solids handling, this course will use EDEM software to provide training on the design of bins, hoppers, transfer chute systems, and other calculations for practical bulk solids applications. Participants will receive immersive DEM knowledge to inform design, modification, and optimization of unit operations.
October 24-25, 2017 • Salina, Kansas
Register by September 26 for early bird rate!
The course focuses on the design of pneumatic conveying systems, common pneumatic conveying problems and discusses solutions to these problems. Attendees will participate in the actual design of dilute phase pneumatic conveying system following step-by-step procedure, followed by a full-scale test laboratory practical session of dilute phase in pressure and vacuum systems.
November 14-16, 2017 • Salina, Kansas
Register by October 16 for early bird rate!
Participants will improve their ability to design, maintain, and improve bulk solids handling systems, understand advantages and disadvantages of the various types of systems, evaluate vendor options, and optimize the performance of existing systems.
Courses are coordinated by the Professional Education and Outreach department at the Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus. For inquires related to professional development, please contact the department at 855-552-0079 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
